Doug has been creating, innovating, and leading at technology start-ups since 1999. In October of 2005, Doug decided to execute geographic arbitrage and traded in his southern CA commute and moved his family to Des Moines, Iowa where the economics of success are skewed in the direction of the individual.
Since then, Doug has immersed himself in the local business and technology communities and founded The 
Mitchell Group, RentalMetrics, and now createWOWmedia. Doug does the occasional Olympic Distance Triathlon as well to keep up his image as a SuperHero a la Aqauman.
